There are no capacitors, transformers, or transistors in your audio path, so there's zero coloration in the boosted mic signal. You can connect the Cloud lifter's output to any mixing console, preamp, or audio interface that supplies +48V phantom power via an XLR cable. Then plug your dynamic/ribbon/tube microphone into the XLR input jack. This unit is safe to use with delicate ribbon microphones because the phantom power doesn't pass through CL-1 to the mic.It is recommended to start with the lowest gain and then turning on the phantom power.
