It is not your typical internship program! eCommerce is a ballooning industry, now annually doing over a billion dollars in sales. That said, it still isn’t taught in the classroom. At Quantum, interns get a hands-on crash course on all aspects of the eCommerce world.
My name is Chris Zong. I am currently studying finance at the Richard Ivy School of Business in Canada. It was a wonderful experience being an intern at Quantum Network LLC this summer My role was working as a buyer and helping our company to source products overseas which would be bundled with our products to create better sales. Representing as the face of our company overseas in many day-today business transactions, I have had to learn patience and communication skills and how to be more responsible as a member of the team. I want to thank Quantum for all the support that they have granted me, giving me the ability to negotiate with suppliers more independently while in a cooperative manner. Without being given autonomy and trust with regard to these daily dealings, I would never have been able to accomplish what I have done for myself and the company. Being placed into the driver, seat of a major portion of the company helped me realize how much I am truly capable of This has been an unforgettable summer that truly enforced my growth, and I have teamed so much during my first working experience. Thank you, Quantum and the team.
It was a pleasure working for Quantum over the last eight weeks. As a purchasing intern, i was majorly responsible for pricing strategy. I was provided perfect guidance on every step of how to calculate the best price to maximize profits for the company, and other tips on how to manage e-commerce platform. Quantum is a very professional online retailer. IM sure I will benefit from this internship experience a lot and it will guide me to a better career path.

Every day I am faced with both exciting challenges and incredible opportunities to grow and develop. The friendly and dynamic environment here provides for me a motivating workplace that makes my job fun!
As a computer science graduate looking to progress in the held of software development Quantum has provided me with valuable hands-on experience on the emerging technologies of today, world. I value the kind and supportive working environment and the commitment to developing robust, secure, and scalable applications. Throughout my time here, my manager and the members of my team have been very helpful and supportive every step of the way, which helped me gain new skills and experiences. I can definitely say that my programming knowledge has been greatly enhanced. This program has given me the opportunity to utilize the programming and communication skills that I have foamed through college and put them into practice in a working environment. It has helped me to engage in a range of different activities and to gain valuable job experience within the workplace. The Quantum internship program has been very beneficial for me and will hopefully help in my future career.
A day in the life of a Quantum Networks intern is fun, hectic, and a lot of work but above all, it can really only be classified as an experience. Quantum considers itself a startup, and even though it is now 8 years old, the amount of new ideas and plans which flow through daily will make you feel as if you are building the company along with them. On the first day of my internship I was assured that I would never be getting coffee, dry cleaners, or the like.
I would be working full-time, akin to any regular 9-5 job. I am proud to say, am a contributing member of this company. On a daily basis, my opinion is asked for my work utilized, and my knowledge expanded College does not immediately convert into ‘ready for work and the transition can be tough. With a warm caring environment I believe Quantum helped me make the transformation with which I can now really contribute to wherever I go next. As students, we think we know everything and are prepared to face the world. As interns, we realize that we’re not. At Quantum, we become confident and ready to face the world.

What is a Quantum internship?
Now in its seventh year, the Quantum internship is more than just your average internship. It is a fully immersive summer experience for students looking to gain real-life, hands-on eCommerce exposure. You won’t be getting anyone coffee or reloading the printer with paper. You will be actively involved in meetings, research and projects on the ground. Students will get direct mentorship, work in a team-based setting as well as individual projects. Once or twice a week, you will receive classroom style lectures about all different facets of the business, as well as on public speaking, office etiquette, and resume building. Guest lecturers will join us occasionally for a “lunch and learn” where you can build relationships with CEOs and COOs and impressive New York City companies.
What qualifications do you look for in a candidate?
We are looking for people who are pursuing an associate, bachelors, or graduate degree at an accredited institution with a current class standing of sophomore or above (at least 30 credits) and a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above. You must be 18 years of age or older, and must provide verification that you will be actively enrolled in school during the course of the internship and authorized to participate in an internship in the U.S. More than anything, you must be detail oriented, eager to learn and interested in helping out.
