Founded on June 2013, Orangemonkie is a South Korean-based manufacturer of innovative photography equipment. They launched their product, the Foldio, which allows users to take high-quality images only using a portable, tabletop lightbox and their smartphone, unfolding new levels of possibilities in photography. This all-in-one portable studio enables everyone to take excellent, studio-quality pictures with a simple setup.

Quantum Networks, a Post Kickstarter Campaign Solution provider and online retailer, began working with Orangemonkie after identifying that while their crowd-funded campaign was successful, there wasn't a clear branding and marketing strategy in place. Quantum Networks provided Orangemonkie with, and implemented, a strategy for branding their products for which Orangemonkie was receptive to.

Challenges

Quantum Networks saw that while Orangemonkie was performing on Amazon, there were areas of improvement that would increase Orangemonkie's overall sales and brand recognition. Each area of improvement that Orangemonkie overlooked was addressed by Quantum Networks, improving Orangemonkie's overall brand health on Amazon. Any improvements that could be made on Orangemonkie’s presence on Amazon would directly result in an increase in sales.

Kickstarter and Indiegogo: What Comes After?

Like many other products or brands, Orangemonkie launched their product on a crowdsourced website. Orangemonkie's campaigns were especially successful, earning over $1.1 million across their last two launches. While successful, a product's lifecycle shouldn't end with its campaign.

Listing Action

Quantum Networks immediately took action after Orangemonkie and Quantum Networks worked out their exclusivity agreement, Quantum Networks immediately took action. Quantum Networks updated all of Orangemonkie's Foldio listings with text that is friendly to both search engines and customers. Because of this, there was an immediate and dramatic improvement to Orangemonkie's sales and discoverability. As well as improving the listing's text, Quantum Networks improved the imagery of the listings to facilitate an increase in mobile and desktop conversion rates. This allowed Orangemonkie to focus on what they do best - create and design innovative products, while Quantum Networks focuses on what it does best - marketing brands.

Outcome

Quantum’s ultimate goal is to ensure success, add value to, and sustain strong relationships with its partners. From the moment Quantum Networks and Orangemonkie began partnering, results instantly started showing. Sales doubled due to marketing efforts from May to June. While any marketing agency can perform these tasks, Quantum Network’s professionals have delivered excellent work by improving the conversion rate on listings and improving brand messaging on marketplaces. Furthermore, Quantum portrayed success as a post-campaign solution partner for the online marketplaces. Quantum’s successful contribution significantly helped build a path of opportunity for Orangemonkie.

Quantum Networks continues to provide Orangemonkie with invaluable information and services. As Quantum Networks continues to improve on its marketing campaigns for Orangemonkie, they also assist with the enforcement and handling of unauthorized sellers, counterfeits, and trademark infringements. Using their connections, Quantum Networks was also able to initiate a partnership between Orangemonkie and B&H, one of the world’s largest retailers for photography equipment and accessories.
