Offering free-of-charge emotional, social, and financial support for children with serious illnesses and their families, Chai Lifeline is an outstanding international health support network. The Quantum tea m connected with the charity as soon as members met its supported children, and regularly participates in Team Lifeline marathons to raise money for the cause.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE PROJECT

Empowering victims of domestic violence with free legal representation, housing assistance and planning, and many other services to get them back on track, the Domestic Violence Project embraces individuals of any gender and sexual identity in fulfilling its mission. Our general counsel and vice president of operations, Bita, is the advisory board chairwoman for the Domestic Violence Project.

TOMCHEI SHABBOS

Based in Queens & Bergen County Tomchei Shabbos aims “to serve as the “middleman” between the hungry & those willing to share.” Volunteers consider individuals in need to be their extended family, and delivers about 400 packages of food to them weekly.

CHICKEN FOR SHABBOS

Chicken for Shabbos feeds and clothes critically lacking families living in Israel at zero expenses. Helping those out of work and in debt to find employment and covering the costs of medical appointments are just a few of the countless miracles that this charity performs.

CAMP HASC

Camp HASC provides a seven-week sleep-away camp experience for over 300 mentally and physically handicapped children and adults. Campers participate in an immersive program full of speech and other types of therapy, as well as recreational activities like roller skating and field trips. Quantum’s HASC volunteers love how the camp allows those with disabilities to have a fun and normal summer experience.

eCommerce Buyer/Brand Manager

Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager/Buyer is required to identify new to market products, reach out to prospective brands, closing brands and is responsible for building new relationships. The best candidates for this role will have an entrepreneurial personality, work well individually as well as part of a team, be outgoing, persistent and able to hit weekly goals and metrics.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Research, identify and analyze potential new to market brands

Requirements

eCommerce Purchasing Analyst

The Purchasing Analyst will project, plan and price inventory for our fast paced eCommerce company. This candidate will be responsible for analyzing new lucrative vendors and dealer sheets as well as setting pricing and restocking existing products and potentially new SKUs for our eCommerce store and marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, etc).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Restock inventory on all online sales channels (Amazon, eBay, Walmart.com, Bestbuy, Rakuten, etc. by forecasting trends and demand.
  • Identifying new opportunities/products.
  • Adjust order volumes and pricing based on buy-in opportunities, vendor stock issues, seasonal
    fluctuations.
  • Analyze new vendors and dealer sheets to create an initial purchase order.
  • Set pricing strategies for new products, and refine pricing strategies for existing products.
  • Follow up with vendors on product deliveries, out of stock issues, pricing issues.
  • Co-ordinate with Logistics team to ensure timely receiving of products and to decrease
    warehouse costs.
  • Work closely with eCommerce buyers to identify aged inventory and implement actions to
    minimizing such inventory.
  • Co-ordinate with vendors for new products / pricing / promotions.
  • Work jointly with the finance team to ensure proper and accurate invoicing.
  • Address all other pricing and planning duties as directed by the buyers’ team.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

 

  • High analytic and financial acumen with a desire to problem solve
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills is a MUST
  • Candidate should be proactive in his/her work approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Ability to partner and communicate effectively with internal team as well as vendors
  • Ability to think creatively to increase profitability and decrease overheads
