TOMCHEI SHABBOS

Based in Queens & Bergen County, Tomchei Shabbos aims to "serve as the “middleman” between the hungry & those willing to share.” Volunteers consider individuals in need to be their extended family, and delivers about 400 packages of food to them weekly.

CHICKENS FOR SHABBOS

Chicken for Shabbos feeds and clothes critically lacking families living in Israel at zero expense to them. Helping those out of work and in debt to find employment and covering the costs of medical appointments are just a few of the countless miracles that this charity performs.

CAMP HASC

Camp HASC provides a seven-week sleep-away camp experience for over 300 mentally and physically handicapped children and adults. Campers participate in an immersive program full of speech and other types of therapy, as well as recreational activities like roller skating and field trips. Quantum’s HASC volunteers love how the camp allows those with disabilities to have a fun and normal summer experience.

Requirements:

The eCommerce Merchandising Associate is a key member of the Buying & Brand Management Team. You will help to grow the Blucoil brand, Quantum’s private label brand, by researching and building bundles for our diverse range of brands - from innovative Kickstarter/Indiegogo products to industry-leading products across different categories from consumer electronics to pro audio to camera & photo to health & beauty to home & kitchen. In collaboration with the internal team, this individual will work to increase our presence across multiple eCommerce platforms, with a strong emphasis on Amazon.

You will work with several members of the brand development and product development teams to turn your ideas into a reality. The role is ideal for a candidate with 1-2 years of eCommerce experience looking for the opportunity to develop their skills and grow. Relocation is provided.

Challenges you will be tackling:

  • Work closely with entire E-Commerce team to maximize sales and growth for our Blucoil Bundle business
  • Set priorities and manage projects between the Brand Management, Purchasing, Brand Development, and Product Development teams
  • Communicate with Brand CEOs on product information
  • Research market competition, brand competition, and product competition to suggest bundles and make recommendations for accessories to manufacture
  • Work with Product Development to define detailed technical and non-technical specifications for the required products
  • Analyze costing, pricing, and margins and provide suggestions for pricing required
  • Set up SKUs and visual merchandising on Amazon storefront
  • Work with Brand Development and Marketing team to ensure appropriate Brand image and advertising
  • Manage and analyze stock levels, coordinate with Purchasing team to ensure consistent replenishment
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, and work cross-functionally to execute those improvements
  • Constantly monitor key metrics, inventory availability and product flows across multiple systems
  • Ensure that all products are displaying availability, attributes and pricing as expected

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in related field with analytical coursework
  • 1-2+ years of professional experience or equivalent internship experience
  • Excited about building a career in eCommerce from the ground up, with growth opportunities in many directions, including Purchasing, Product Development, Buying/Brand Management

eCommerce Purchasing Analyst

The Purchasing Analyst will project, plan and price inventory for our fast paced eCommerce company. This candidate will be responsible for analyzing new lucrative vendors and dealer sheets as well as setting pricing and restocking existing products and potentially new SKUs for our eCommerce store and marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, etc).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Restock inventory on all online sales channels (Amazon, eBay, Walmart.com, Bestbuy, Rakuten, etc. by forecasting trends and demand.
  • Identifying new opportunities/products.
  • Adjust order volumes and pricing based on buy-in opportunities, vendor stock issues, seasonal
    fluctuations.
  • Analyze new vendors and dealer sheets to create an initial purchase order.
  • Set pricing strategies for new products, and refine pricing strategies for existing products.
  • Follow up with vendors on product deliveries, out of stock issues, pricing issues.
  • Co-ordinate with Logistics team to ensure timely receiving of products and to decrease
    warehouse costs.
  • Work closely with eCommerce buyers to identify aged inventory and implement actions to
    minimizing such inventory.
  • Co-ordinate with vendors for new products / pricing / promotions.
  • Work jointly with the finance team to ensure proper and accurate invoicing.
  • Address all other pricing and planning duties as directed by the buyers’ team.
